Powder Rooms

Powder rooms... Oh how I love a good powder room. This is my powder room. I'm actually quite proud of it but when you stand it up against all of the other beautiful powder rooms it doesn't look as good. I so wish I would have had these sonces lowered. It was very hard to get a good picture without the toilet being the focal point.

I'm very drawn to this wallpaper and the mirror, sconces and table for that matter.

I think this is fabulous - I love that table - with the back used like that - I would have never thought of that - it's gorgeous - it reminds of me of carved marble. may i say something to you - you probably should just bite the bullit and lower the sconces. it won't cost you that much, really. probably a few hundred dollars. a good electrician should leave you with just two small holes that you might even be able to cover up with small prints or a plates!!! you could spackle over the holes yourself and paint them. I move sconces ALL the time!!!! you should do it - the cost = to the years you will live with it will be pennies. OR you could maybe get a taller mirror???? that would even it out maybe. I think the room is so stunning - the faucet, the sink - great job!!!!!!!!!! I want to copy it!!!!!!!!!!!

Sherry,

Thank you for coming by Ragland Hill Social today and commenting. I'm so glad you did because now I found you. Your powder room is absolutely beautiful. You did a fabulous job. And about the sconces, I can't tell you how many projects I work on where we have to lower them because they were hung without input from me (designer) or in some cases even the homeowner. It's really hard to judge when nothing else is in the space. So, cut yourself some slack because it could be worse (like the toilet is in the wrong place) and move them or I was thinking a cute little series of small paintings or prints or maybe even mirrors under them might make it interesting. Also, a taller mirror in between them would help with balance. Loved discovering your blog and look forward to chatting with you again soon.
